Perfect Delivery Certificate

Thanks to our friends at Morgan Sindall who awarded Cygnum with a ‘Perfect Delivery Certificate’ for our work on the design, manufacture and insulation of the timber frame for The Enterprise Centre at the University of East Anglia. The projects team’s commitment and determination to specify locally and domestically helped achieve its BREEAM and Passivhaus credentials.

The collaborate effort across the whole of the supply chain has been rewarded with an impressive list of awards and achievements including Cygnum’s ‘Best use of Timber Frame’, Best Low Energy project at the Structural Timber Awards 2016  and ‘Best Use of Timber’ at the Offsite Awards 2016.

For more information see our Case Study page.

TIMBER FRAME ‘FLYING UP’ FOR YSGOL TRIMSARAN PRIMARY SCHOOL

Recent site images taken by project lead architect George Mikurcik, Architype showcases the impressive speed our latest #Passivhaus school is being erected. The new school is planned to replace the old building which is in a poor condition and will cater for 210 children with 30 nursery places. The project is being delivered through Carmarthenshire County Council’s Modernising Education Programme and the Welsh Government’s 21st Century Schools initiative.

Echoing the timber frame features used in our award winning Burry Port primary school, the building incorporates the use of locally sourced Welsh timber. It also features impressive circular glulam posts that form the structure of the covered walkways.
