Welcoming ISSARD TO Cygnum

We recently had the privilege of welcoming the team from Ireland’s Specialist Search and Rescue Dogs to use our manufacturing plant for their training exercises.

ISSARD is a volunteer organisation dedicated to training and deploying specialised dogs for the search, rescue, and recovery of missing persons throughout Ireland.

We jumped at the chance to have these amazing dogs and their handlers on-site, and will hopefully be welcoming them back soon ‍

Built To Innovate Visit

We were delighted to welcome a group of Government and industry representatives to visit Cygnum’s advanced, 4.0 digitally enabled, Lean manufacturing & site erection operations.

The group included representatives from the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage, Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Department of Further Education, Research, Innovation and Science, Coillte, University College Dublin (UCD) & Enterprise Ireland’s housing team.

The visitors were impressed by our highly automated manufacturing plant and visited one of our local sites to see the benefits of Lean in practice on a building site. Cygnum is participating in Enterprise Ireland’s Built to Innovate programme, an initiative under the Government’s Housing for All which supports productivity and innovation in residential construction.

It was great to get positive feedback from the visitors on our enthusiasm to deliver sustainable housing for all, at speed and scale.
